The Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of HSH Prince Albert II and the Government of the Republic of Mauritius, on an exchange programme in hotel and catering, was renewed on July 16, 2019.

Signed by Mr Patrice Cellario, Minister of the Interior, in the presence of Mr Michel Gramaglia, Honorary Consul of Mauritius in Monaco, Ms Isabelle Bonnal, Director of National Education, Youth and Sports and Mr Hubert Blanc, representing Jean-Marc Deoriti, Head of the Lycée Technique et Hôtelier de Monaco (LTHM), the partnership between the LTHM and the Hotel School Sir Gaëtan Duval of Mauritius provides that every year two Mauritian students are welcomed for training in the Principality. In return, two students in first year of BTS LTHM follow a four-month course in Mauritius.

The Protocol also provides for LTHM teachers to train Mauritian teachers as needed. This bilateral agreement allows a precious transfer of knowledge and skills between the two countries, and has existed since 2004. The Sir Gaetan Duval Hotel School has been under the High Patronage of HSH Princess Stephanie since 2013.
