The last prefabricated caisson has been successfully installed on the Portier Land Extension Project, 12 months after the arrival on site of the first one. The completion of the encircling belt will be followed by infilling using 400,000 cubic metres of sand.

By the end of this year, Monaco’s land area will have grown by six hectares, accounting for about three percent of the Principality’s total size.

The new district will accommodate 150 top-end apartments as well as a park, other public areas, an extension to the Grimaldi Forum and a harbour. The completion date for all work is 2015.
