Former Ince partners in Monaco Ian Cranston, Andrew Charlier and Marco Crusafio will leave Ince and join a new HFW office in Monaco in September, according to a number of reports in the legal press.
Paul Dean, HFW’s head of shipping, told Alliance News: ‘We’re thrilled to be able to welcome Ian, Andrew, Marco and the team to HFW. We’ve been interested in the Monaco market for quite some time, but we were only ever going to make a move if we could bring them on board – they’re the clear market leaders and we wouldn’t settle for anything less.”
Meanwhile, Gordon Dadds Group is putting a different interpretation on events, saying that it had decided to replace the Ince team: “The group has concluded that the financial performance of its representation in Monaco can be improved by bringing in a new team,” Gordon Dadds said, adding that the former Ince team will leave “shortly” and without any compensation or deferred considerations. Dadds said it would bring in a new team in Monaco.

Both HFW – formerly Holman Fenwick Willan – and Gordon Dadds are long-established law firms established, the former set up in 1883 and the latter founded in 1870.
