Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, visited Larvotto on Friday, October 11, to meet traders who have had to close their restaurants and other businesses as a major redevelopment project starts.

“The purpose of my visit is to demonstrate the interest of the Government in merchants in Larvotto and the project that will see the complete redevelopment of the area.” He added that compensation will be paid to the businesses on the basis of their turnover.

“Today, a new era starts with a great opportunity to renovate this area to bring up it to the finest international standards. The beautiful land extension sea is being built, so it was logical that Larvotto be renovated,” he said.

He was accompanied by Rémy Rolland, Administrator of Domaines, and Olivier Damour of the Public Works Department.
