The eighth edition of the Eco Awards brought together many top Monegasque entrepreneurs under the auspices of the Nice Matin Group, in partnership with the Monaco Economic Board, for an awards ceremony at the Grimaldi Forum.

Seven companies and managers were honoured for their contribution to the Monegasque economy.

Frédéric Darnet, General Manager of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, received the “Manager of the Year” award from SEM Jacques Boisson, Secretary of State, representing HSH Prince Albert II.

At the head of the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort division since February 2016, Frédéric Darnet manages a team of 388 employees and a turnover of 53 million euros.

In less than four years, Frédéric Darnet has been able to unite his employees around new projects focused on the development of the service offering, the environment and innovation. He has also made important changes in the field of human resources, SBM said.

The definition of management for Frédéric Darnet: to listen, to be available and responsive, to give the desire to surpass oneself and the freedom to undertake, to set an example, to innovate and to surprise by always aiming higher.
