Transport bears brunt of French pensions protest
The French rail system will operate at very reduced levels on Monday, December 9, and Tuesday, December 10. In the south-east region, three out of 10 TER trains will operate. However, while some routes will use buses to provide service, the Nice-Ventimiglia line will have a total of 16 trains serving Monaco Monte-Carlo on Monday, train operator SNCF said on Sunday, December 8. The bulk of these trains will run during the morning and afternoon commutes.
Air Traffic was disrupted on Friday, December 6, with France’s aviation directorate calling for airlines to cancel 20 percent of flights. For its part, easyJet cancelled a total of 21o flights during the day. At the time of going to press at 23:50 on Sunday, there was no information available on cancellations or delays on Monday.
