HSH Prince Albert addressed both global and local issues in his annual New Year’s Eve address.
He said there was a link between climate change and the series of storms that hit the Riviera and Monaco in recent weeks, adding that the most urgent task for mankind is to find a solution to the world’s environmental problems.
He praised those in Monaco who have worked to help others through their generous commitment to charities, and their recognition of their own privileges.
He said that he was determined to continue in His family’s work to maintain prosperity and stability in the Principality. Significantly, He also mentioned the importance of the impartiality of justice.
At the end of his address, HSH Prince Albert was joined by HSH Princess Charlene, who added her own best wishes for the coming year.
