While 2020 will be a year for consolidation of groundworks on the land extension at Portier cove, more visible progress will soon be seen as work on the new roundabout at Portier comes to an end in the spring.
The traffic island will accommodate a ramp leading to an underground tunnel to the new extension and several car parks, since the six hectares of new territory will be entirely pedestrian.
Once the structural underground work is finished, the entire area will once again be covered in vegetation, including palms, pines and oaks. Work at the roundabout started more than two years ago.
