New Archbishop of Monaco appointed
This Tuesday January 21, 2020 at noon, His Holiness Pope Francis accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Archdiocese of Monaco presented by His Excellency Mgr. Bernard Barsi.
The Holy Father appointed as Archbishop of Monaco His Excellency Mgr. Dominique-Marie David (56), priest of the diocese of Nantes, member of the evangelical Emmanuel Community, until now a member of the training team of the interdiocesan seminary Saint-Jean de Nantes while also occupying an important post in Rome.
Archbishop Barsi will serve as Archbishop Emeritus of Monaco.
Bishop David’s ordination as Archbishop will take place in the Cathedral of Monaco on Sunday, March 8, at 15:30.
