The Casino of Monte-Carlo has earned a double distinction at the ICE London fair, the great international meeting place for gaming professionals.

The title of ‘Casino of the Year’ was won for the second year in a row, while ‘Gaming Operator UK & Europe 2020’ was also won ahead of many of the biggest gaming operators around the world.

SBM said: This is “a promising start to the year for Monte Carlo-style gaming, a benchmark in the casino world and a source of inspiration for the entire sector.”

The awards were made by Global Gaming Awards, as part of the ICE London Show on February 3, 2020. A total of ten casinos were in the running to win the title, and a jury of 50 of the most respected members in the sector recognised the winning strategy deployed by the Casino de Monte-Carlo since 2016 and its role as a benchmark for the sector.

The ‘Gaming Operator UK & Europe 2020’ title was awarded by International Gaming Awards, in recognition of the fact that the Casino of Monte-Carlo has made a significant difference in the industry, through its vision, strategy and capacity for innovation, SBM said.

Pascal Camia, Director General of the Monte Carlo Games Société des Bains de Mer, said: “We are very pleased with this double recognition by our peers, which rewards our teamwork within the casinos of Monaco. The new momentum launched in 2016 by President Jean-Luc Biamonti is promising in terms of the image of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group and contributes to making Monaco’s casinos the most exclusive gaming destination in Europe. Our employees can be proud of it.”
