Faced with the current health crisis and the emergency situation faced by French hospitals, the Princess Grace of Monaco Foundation has decided to release funds to help a number of paediatric hospitals to cope with difficulties, in particular the Necker-Enfants Malades hospital in Paris.

The Princess Grace Foundation’s mission is to support children in hospital and help parents finance their accommodation and travel near the hospital to stay with their little ones.

Many provincial hospitals have requisitioned paediatric resuscitation services to accommodate the influx of adult severe coronavirus cases. Children receiving intensive care were then redirected to the large paediatric hospitals and in particular to the Necker-Enfants Malades hospital, forcing their parents to accompany them far from their places of residence, sometimes for several weeks.

In addition to its usual annual budget of around 600,000 euors, the Princess Grace Foundation has urgently released an additional 80,000 euros to help these parents cope with their sick children. This exceptional financing may be revised upwards at a later date depending on the development of the situation.

The Princess Grace Foundation needs its donors more than ever for this exceptional cause. Each donation received will be entirely devoted to further strengthening this special operation.
