Most of the hotels and the Grimaldi Forum have waived cancellation fees and postponement deposits for event organisers struggling with the effects of the coronavirus outbreak.

Meetings professionals and the Principality’s convention bureau and partners say they have been working hard to mobilise and to propose new dates for their clients, while guaranteeing the most suitable solutions according to the format of each event, especially for those who have been bringing their events to Monaco for several years.

The convention bureau says the idea is to avoid penalising clients for changing their plans and that most of the hotels and the Grimaldi Forum have waived contractual cancellation fees including for group reservations already confirmed for the 2020 Formula 1 Grand Prix, cancelled last month.

The bureau has sent a message of thanks to organisers “for their loyalty and confidence” assuring them of their support “to make their next events most successful”.
