No new coronavirus cases were reported in Monaco on Tuesday, marking nine consecutive days of no cases with one exception, which saw one new case. Since the start of the epidemic 94 people have been infected in Monaco and treated at CHPG, although this figure includes cases from neighbouring municipalities

One resident has died since the outbreak started and two other deaths involved patients of over 80 with underlying conditions, both resident outside Monaco. Five people remain in hospital, two in intensive care. Twenty-six patients have fully recovered.

Spain reported 3,968 new cases and 430 new deaths on Tuesday, up from 1,536 and 399 respectively on Monday. In Italy, there was also a spike in cases, with 2,729 new cases and 534 new deaths, compared to 2,256 new cases and 454 new deaths on Monday. Tuesday saw 2,667 new cases and 531 new deaths in France, compared to 2,489 new cases and 547 new deaths on Monday.

A total of 873 new hospital deaths in the UK were announced on Tuesday. However, the Office for National Statistics has reported 3,833 previously unrecorded deaths happened before April 10. The true number of deaths in care homes and in the community at large remains unknown, but some sources claim that the total number of deaths has been under-reported by 40 percent.
