Monaco reported no new case of coronavirus on Wednesday evening. Over the last ten days, only one new case of coronavirus has been reported in Monaco. The total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the outbreak remains at 94. A total of 27 people have fully recovered. Five people remain in hospital, three in intensive care.

The Government repeated its thanks to the local population for observing the current lockdown and asked for everyone to continue to respect the rules. Not all the patients in hospital in Monaco are resident in the Principality.

France has reported a significant fall in new cases, down from 2,667 on Tuesday to 1,827 on Wednesday. New deaths were 544 compared to 531 on Tuesday.

New deaths from coronavirus in Italy fell to 437 on Wednesday, compared to 534 on Tuesday, while the daily tally of new infections increased to 3,370 from 2,729 on Tuesday. There was also a drop in the number of people currently infected with the disease for the third day in a row. In Spain, 4,211 new cases and 435 new deaths were reported on Wednesday, compared to 3,968 new cases and 430 new deaths on Tuesday.

In the UK on Wednesday, 4,451 new cases and 763 new hospital deaths were reported, compared to 4,301 new cases and 828 new deaths on Tuesday. In the US, the death toll rose to 2,804 for the most recent 24-hour reporting period, taking the total to 46,149.
