Monaco’s very popular Faites de la Danse event has been cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis. Centred on the Place du Casino, the open-air event at the height of the Monaco summer is not only a showcase for many outstanding dancers, but also an opportunity for the wider public to be involved and be part of the spectacle.

“In view of the current situation, it is with great sadness that Patrice Cellario, Minister of the Interior, Jean-Luc BiamontI, Deputy Chairman of the Société des Bains de Mer, and myself regret to announce the cancellation of the Faites de la Danse which was to take place on July 4, 2020,” Jean-Christophe Maillot, Director of the Monte-Carlo Ballets, said.

“This cancellation is, as you imagine, the consequence of decisions related to the health crisis… which correspond to the necessary protection of the public and artists.

“As soon as the situation allows, we will notify you of a possible postponement date. Please understand that this affects us deeply. We will do our best to find and share with you again these memorable moments that unite the public, the artists, the dancers and the professionals of the show.”
