Monaco’s Automobile Club is to remain closed to members until September, citing the need for further safety measures. Coronavirus “hasn’t had the last word yet,” the club said in a notice to members and friends. The club’s restaurant will stay closed over the summer.

“The ACM Board and Administrative Committee do not take these decisions lightly and are very aware of the consequences of these drastic and necessary measures,” the club said, adding: “We do however remain positive remembering that there is always sunshine after the rain!”

“Concerning future sporting events and further to the cancellation of the F1 Grand Prix and the Historic Grand Prix 2020, our staff are working diligently to maintain the E-Rally Monte-Carlo (New Energies) which is due to take place later in the year (22 – 25 October 2020).”

The club’s reception desk will reopen on June 3 while the boutique has already reopened.
