Although the French authorities have announced that all students must return to school as of June 22, Monaco will not follow suit.
Monaco schools break up for the summer on Friday, June 26, while in France term ends on July 4, so it is not worthwhile for students in the Principality to return to classes for just one week.
A further consideration is social distancing. In France the measure is one metre, while in the Principality the figure is 1.5 metres, meaning that it would not be possible to accommodate an entire class size of 22 to 25 students in one classroom.
