For their return to the stage in Monaco, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo saw the bigger picture.

The dancers redoubled their efforts to keep in shape during lockdown and look forward to treating audiences to a particularly generous winter season.

An anthology of works by Jean-Christophe Maillot awaits spectators this year.

From October 15 to 17, 2020, La Compagnie will be among the first in the world to put on its slippers and pointe shoes to perform Altro Canto and Vers un Pays Sage, at the Grimaldi Forum.

For the end of year celebrations, the Grimaldi Forum will once again host Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo from December 11 to January 3 for a choreographic fireworks display.

From December 11 to 13, the Company will perform Dov’è la luna as well as Jean-Christophe Maillot’s new creation: Opus 60.

No fewer than three major narrative ballets will then be presented to the public: Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet and LAC.
The dancers will be accompanied for the occasion by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Igor Dronov and Kazuki Yamada.

The only company to go on tour, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo will also be present:

  • September 19 and 20, 2020 in Biarritz for the Festival Le temps d’aimer la danse: Altro Canto 1, Vers un Pays Sage by J-Ch. Shirt
  • October 8 and 9, 2020 in Ludwigshafen in Germany for the Theater im Pfalzbau: Coppél-i.A. by J-Ch. Shirt
  • and from November 6 to 14 at the Théâtre National de la Danse de Chaillot in Paris: Coppél-i.A. by J-Ch. Shirt

The resumption of activity of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo will be accompanied by the implementation of sanitary measures to welcome the public in the safest possible conditions.
