The 2020 Monte-Carlo Gala for Planetary Health took place on Thursday evening to raise funds for the Prince Albert II Foundation and its initiatives in favour of the planet.
A sizeable British contingent included star performer Sting, Helen Mirren, and Kate Beckinsale. According to early reports, the sum of one million euros was raised.
Proceeds from the night’s auction will be used to help projects such as the development of marine protected areas, the protection of threatened marine species, mitigation of climate change and acidification in the ocean and the fight against plastic pollution.
