The Department of Finance and Economy and the Banque Publique d’Investissement France (BPI), held a conference on September 19 in Monaco on the theme of the interaction between finance and sustainable development.

After an introduction by Finance Minister Mr. Jean Castellini, and by Ms. Anne-Sophie Marin (ESG Manager BPI France), a number of financial asset managers presented solutions that are both innovative and concrete, as they have already been implemented.

These initiatives relate, for example, to the indexation of performance and income to environmental issues (“TILT Capital” companies, “KARTESIA” and “CANDRIAM”). They also concern the selection and promotion of cutting-edge technologies, to find concrete solutions for energy transition and the fight against global warming (“JOLT Capital” and “CAPRICORN” companies).

Financial institutions and local investors present in the room were very attentive to the presentations of the participants, demonstrating the commitment of the financial sector in the Principality to sustainable development.
